This summer, a group of students from South High in Minneapolis will travel to China with their Mandarin language teacher and a parent chaperone for a month of learning and fun. So far, sixteen students are able to go. With the help of their families and friends, they will be raising money they hope to raise enough money so that two more students can join the group.
My daughter is one of the students, and I'm not able to join the group as a chaperone. So this blog will be a way for all of us---families, friends, and the travelers--- to exchange information about fundraising, to learn more about China together, to dream about the destinations, and to share pictures, stories, and video from the trip.
Since the school's mascot is the tiger, I've named this blog Tigers on the Road--for now! Maybe someone else has ideas for a better name? If you do, leave a comment. If we get some suggestions, we can open up a poll to vote for the name everyone likes the best.
